Knowing the answers to the questions people ask us most often will help you plan your trip to Dinsosaur Land and ensure that everyone stays safe and has fun!

ARE PETS ALLOWED IN THE PARK OR GIFT SHOP?
No pets are permitted, only service animals with harness or special leashes.

CAN WE/OUR KIDS CLIMB ON THE ANIMALS?
No, there is concrete under most of the animals and they are made of fiberglass, not built to climb on. Only King Kong’s hand and inside the shark is allowed, no swinging on horns or climbing on the animals.

ARE WE ALLOWED TO BRING FOOD INTO THE PARK?
No food or drinks are allowed into the park except bottle water and baby/child’s Sippy cups. There is a beautiful free public park 2.5 miles from us, easy in/out with great playground and picnic tables for your food.

IS THE PARK WHEELCHAIR OR STROLLER ACCESSIBLE?
Yes, the path is blacktopped and easy to get around. If you go off the path it is gravel or grass area.

CAN DINOSAUR LAND HOST BIRTHDAY PARTIES, WEDDINGS OR SPECIAL OCCASIONS?
No, we do not have the facilities for this.

DO YOU HAVE GROUP RATES?
Yes, for license day cares, schools, summer camps, girl/boy scouts, etc. Arrangements must be schedules ahead of time by calling 540-869-2222.

ARE THERE RESTAURANTS/FAST FOODS CLOSE BY?
Yes, we are within 10 minutes in any directions for food or lodging.

ARE THE ANIMALS ANIMATED?
No they are not, but they are life size.

HOW MUCH IS PARKING?
Parking is free.

DO WE HAVE TO MAKE RESERVATIONS?
Only for groups.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO TOUR THE PARK?
It is a self guided tour and you can visit as long as you wish, back track or revisit favorite animal.

WHAT ARE THE HOURS OF OPERATIONS?
We open at 9:30am and close at 5:30pm until Memorial Day and then we stay open until 6:00pm. After Labor Day we close at 5:00pm. We stop taking admissions one hour before closing.

ARE YOU OPEN ON HOLIDAYS?
Yes except for Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas. We are closed from Dec. 31st until March 1st.
